How Can We Make A Difference?

Our communities today face many serious challenges. Poverty, homelessness, loneliness, illness, unemployment, and mental health struggles affect countless people every day. At the same time, many animals suffer from neglect, cruelty, and the destruction of their natural habitats. The environment entrusted to us is also under increasing threat from pollution, waste, and climate change. These problems can seem overwhelming, but there is hope in the kindness and compassion shown by people who dedicate themselves to helping others.

Charities, volunteers, and community groups play an enormous role in easing these struggles. Food banks support hungry families, shelters care for the homeless, and organisations provide comfort and guidance to those who feel alone or vulnerable. Animal rescue centres protect and care for abandoned animals, while environmental groups work tirelessly to preserve nature, reduce pollution, and protect the world for future generations.

Every act of kindness, no matter how small, can make a real difference. Donating, volunteering, raising awareness, or simply helping a neighbour in need all contribute to building a stronger and more caring society. We are trying to do our little bit through RCPG by supporting good causes helping create a better future for everyone. Together, we all have the power to make a difference.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I apply for funding for my charity?
First of all you need to let us know what your charity or cause does. Complete and submit the Charity Application Form below
Why do you need to know all this information about my charity?
As a small, volunteer-led group, the funds we raise each year—while incredibly valuable—are limited, and we receive applications from many deserving charities and organisations. Because of this, we’re not always able to support every request, and careful consideration is needed when allocating the money we’ve worked so hard to raise. To help us make fair and informed decisions, it’s important that we fully understand the work you do. This includes where your organisation operates, who it supports, and the impact your services have on the local community. The more clearly you can outline your aims and the difference your work makes, the better equipped we are to ensure funds are distributed in a way that benefits those most in need and aligns with our charitable objectives. Our goal is to make every pound count, supporting causes that have a meaningful and positive impact within our community.
What are the start and closing date for applications for 2027?
We shall accept Application Forms from around Christmas 2026 to around February 2027. The Application Form below will be enabled for completion during this period. Exact dates will be advised in due course.
What if I have applied for funding before?
It doesn't matter. We take each application on its own merits and decide accordingly.
